It's a fair question, and the honest answer is that we've thought about it and decided against it. The way we work now, small batches made in our own space, is a choice. It's the whole point, really.
Small Batches Stay Fresh
When you make a little at a time, nothing sits around getting old. A batch we blend this week is meant to be enjoyed soon, not warehoused for a year while it slowly loses its strength. Herbs are at their best when they're fresh, and small runs are how we keep them that way.
It also means we're always working with recent stock. We're not pulling from a giant reserve made months ago. We make what we need, and we make it often.
We Can Actually Watch Every Step
This is the part that matters most to us. When everything happens under our own roof, in our own hands, nothing gets lost in a supply chain we can't see. We measure it. We blend it. We fill the jars and check the labels ourselves.
If something isn't right, we catch it, because we're the ones standing there. There's no distant factory, no outsourced line, no stranger deciding what's good enough for your family. That kind of close attention is only possible at our size, and we're not willing to give it up.
Room to Care, and Room to Adjust
Working small gives us a flexibility that big production simply can't match. We can tweak a blend, try something new, or set aside a batch that doesn't meet our standard without turning the whole operation upside down.
It also means less waste. We're not overproducing and throwing out what doesn't sell. We make thoughtful amounts, which feels better for us and better for the planet.
The Trade-Off Is the Point
We'll be honest: this way of working has limits. We can't flood the market. We can't fill an order for ten thousand jars overnight. Some weeks we sell out of something and you have to wait for the next batch.
We've made peace with that, because the alternative would mean giving up the very thing that makes our remedies ours. The small scale isn't a problem we're trying to solve.
